new model | Joey Potts

I often shoot with models from small agencies who are adding to their portfolio. The latest shoot I did with model Joey Potts, was quite different. Being a fresh face in the modeling scene, Joey had never done a shoot before. Needless to say, he's a natural in front of the camera - an eaze and comfortability that looks like he's been working in this industry for years. We had a great time shooting in/around Burbank, along with the lovely stylist - and friend - Gillian Robin Christie (http://www.gillianrobinchristie.com).

Here are some pics from the shoot:

Sean Lockhart | DTLA Hotel

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the talented actor, Sean Lockhart. We were able to get a room at the beautiful Los Angeles Athletic Club. We (very blatantly) lugged our gear thru the lobby to the 11th floor suite, where we shot for a few hours. End result, some beautiful photos showcasing the actor/model's diversity - very natural and authentic in front of the camera.

Thank you to our makeup artist, Rachel Kooyman, and our wardrobe stylist, Gillian Christie, for their help on this shoot as well.

If you haven't heard, Sean is in an amazing film, "Judas Kiss", making its way around the LGBT festivals. Check it out here at www.JudasKissMovie.com

Few Months in Recap

The last few months have been super busy, but well worth it. In November of 2010, I started to meet and write with a good friend of mine, Derek Villanueva. An excellent writer, and actor, we came up with the idea for an LGBT show called Fabulous High. 8 months later, months of pre-production, hundreds of auditions, over two weeks of shooting - and lots of caffeine, we have created a pilot for Fabulous High. I can't speculate how much we've shot, or how long it will be until we premiere the show, but we couldn't be more excited to bring this new show to the global audience.

Back in the photo side of things, I just wrapped a shoot with Matt Ludwinski, an extremely modest and talented actor, from the newest hit in the LGBT festivals - "Going Down in LaLa Land". Gotta check the movie out! Even the trailer is enticing!

For Fabulous High, Every Monday we will release a new character poster, and here are the ones we've posted so far! More coming, every Monday!

what's going on?

I haven't been updating too much recently, but some exciting things are in the works that I hope to share with you soon. I recently completed a music video and working on something I think a lot of photography/art lovers will enjoy, and I cannot wait! It will take some time, but it's in the works. I'm in pre production on a few projects, and one specifically, a music video for the amazingly talented singer songwriter Allison Kaplan, who is going to make a huge impact in the music scene soon. We will be shooting her video in early 2011. Check back soon to see some new work that I'm gonna release real soon! :]

Sara Bareilles: Hold My Heart Music Video

Hello! As a filmmaker and a big fan of Sara Bareilles, I decided to combine the two and create a music video for a song called "Hold My Heart". A few of us got together and shot it this past weekend in LA. Be sure to check out her new CD, "Kaleidoscope Heart" (where the song is from)! It's amazing!

Hope you enjoy it!
